Data+Soul 101 Workshop
An interactive workshop for evaluators who want tangible tools and micro-practices for doing equity-centered work.
From theory to practice, one micro-move at a time.
How often have you had a light bulb moment from a workshop but struggled to put it into practice? Even when we know what equity-centered evaluation looks like, sustaining it day to day is another story. This highly interactive workshop is where we focus on the how, helping evaluators and researchers build the habits that move values off the page and into the work.
The field of evaluation is in the midst of important shifts. Frameworks like the Equitable Evaluation Framework, Culturally Responsive and Equitable Evaluation, and Trust-Based Philanthropy are challenging us to examine what needs to change in our practice. But even when we know what to do, putting it into practice is another story. This workshop asks: how can our daily actions be in better service of more equitable, transformative relationships with the communities most impacted by the work, with clients and primary evaluation users, and with our own teams?
